Overview
Tech Innovation Villages (TIV) is a program by B~STEM Project, a non-profit focused on providing business and tech-driven opportunities. TIV is a virtual education website that offers middle school to college students courses where they have the opportunity to learn and work on projects across business and technology industries. This platform dedicates to bringing together professionals, companies, and organizations to help students pursue their dream careers in those respective industries.
The aim of this project is to redesign TIV to solve the issue of cluttered navigation and rebrand the platform’s visuals to appeal to their target audience.

Duration
June 2020- December 2020
Project Goal
Previously, TIV's interface was too cluttered, thus making navigation on the website confusing. On top of a clearer navigation, as TIV focuses on attracting younger users, it was agreed that the platform should aim for modern visuals.
Previous Design
Process
To start off, I analyzed the existing features, pages, and navigations then transferred each of them to individual sticky notes. I removed redundant pages and grouped together related aspects.
Card Sorting
After rearranging and parsing the features, I created a new visual sitemap to lay the foundation for the website that consisted of three different dashboards for the three user groups. The new information architecture helped to structure the flow of the platform.
Paper and pencil sketch
A few early paper sketches and notes on functionalities, layout, and features
Low-fidelity sketches using Figma
To appeal to the younger target group, I chose a brighter color scheme and utilized differing color palettes for each user group's dashboard.
